Oh ace- shall be down there with grinder and newbie, both in the open novice (only class with spaces!!)
I want to meet tigerseye so please bring and introduce, plus you need to meet new lorry

My gut instint, on paper, would be to go for the TK x TB
However from the photo's horse 2 is by far my favourite, he's scrummy

Most people picked out Adam- the lame 4 year old
crazy.gif

He is a lovely stamp of a horse, moves beautifully, is exceptionally laid back and easy but with a bit about him. However he's not right behind currently so fat lot of use he is!!
Lugsybugsy is the first one, she's not beautifully put together by any means but her full bro is placing top 10 at 3* and she herself found eventing incredibly easy and would have gone advanced but she slipped the suspensory off her hock.
Then Adam is number 2
Odin is number 3- in a months time I'll take another pic and I can gaurentee he'd be the one you'd pick out
Moon is number 4, those that picked her, your bribes are on their way....

What she does have in her favour is that she's athletic and genuine, as with Odin she's got a long way to go muscle wise but she's only just learning how to carry herself properly so I hope that will come in time

God.. I am so so jealous! I desperately want a Fleetwater baby!

Might have to put Han straight back into foal next year once she has had this one... LOL!

You're guarenteed a quality horse which moves and is forward thinking, we've had so many FOs over the years, none have ever had a backwards thought and all have been so willing. You have to have them on your side but once they are, they never look back

Hmmm, definitely a possibilty for the future. Am I right in thinking he was put down though? I am sure I read something in H&H about it...

She is currently in foal to Pro-Set because I wanted something that would fine my girl out (IDxTB) and make her paces more expressive.

Yes he was ancient and had a tumour. There is frozen stuff left though, but prob at a premium!! Also opposition Heracles is available, no idea what sort of stock he'll throw but he's an impressive horse although prob not the flashiest of the FOs

Yeah, I had some information sent to me a few months ago about all three of them... One of them looks more like his daddy than the others, so might wait to see what sort of stock he thorws.

I would have loved to have bred with Fleetwater this time, but it was too expensive for me at the time. Quite a bit more than I have paid for Pro in fact! But then he had proven stock whereas Pro-Set's first set of offspring are just going under saddle this year so quite excited to see what sort of results they are getting.

Your horses are stunning though... Fleetwater through and through!

Actually 3 does have it for me!

1 looks a bit long in the back and a bit weak behind
2 isn't deep enough in the chest although does have a good bum on him
grin.gif

3 i like although looking a little 'rotund' with no topline and looking as if his shoulder is a bit steep (presumably because of way he is standing). looks my type of horse though with a bit more substance and a very genuine look to him.
4 although its most likely due to being a youngster so will grow into itself there is not enough neck for me leading to no withers which seems too short in comparison for the body which seems a tad long.

So number 3 would be for me

it might just be the angles of the photos, but i'd like to see a bigger bottom on all of them, i think maybe the angle is making 3 & 4 look weak though the neck as well (sorry)

what are the mares they are out of like?

I was thinking much the same - maybe it's the way they are photographed as they look over at the knee
crazy.gif
Did you breed these horses Boss? I do like the dapples on the second horse!

Kate x

Over at the knee?? blimey, I'd never have said that but each to their own!!
cool.gif

Nope none are homebred, 3 bred by the stallion owner, the other by a local woman who has been breeding for years.

A trait of the breed is a flatter hindquarter- number 2 has a good backside but the others are weak. Remember none are in full work and fit though, so whilst they wont have all the natural power in the world, a lot can be improved upon.
Number 3 has never been worked down into a contact and hence is ewe-necked. Number 4's neck isnt that bad in RL but again, she's only been broken a few months and has a lot of improvement to come

I've never seen any of the mares but John wont breed from rubbish and adam's dam is a graded trakehner from a sucessful dressage line

don't you just love comparing families? I have 3 by same stallion and they all have similairties, which makes for great fun.

I was always told and led to believe that mare had most to do with temperment but you seem to suggest that FO throws his temp?

PS prefer no.2!
