After some help..
Lily the Lakeland/fox terrier is 6 months now, and apart from maybe 2 or 3 accidents in the house in the last 2 months, she has been completely clean, so we were starting to allow her short periods of access to the carpeted areas of the house..
However in the last two days she's had 2 accidents - one on Wednesday night (on my bed
) when I let her momentarily down to that area while I got something from the bathroom, and one last night on the nice rug in the kitchen/diner.. The bedroom incident she had been outside until 1/2 hr before, but not visibly peed for over an hour, and last night she had been out to pee 15 min before, but had drunk a huge amount at a doggy party we were at earlier..
Should I backtrack to putting her in her crate for 20min once she comes into the house (unless I have seen her pee just before we come in) and do I give her any access to carpeted areas of house???
Any way never mind whether she needed to go or not, I would have forgiven her for peeing on the floor if I missed a signal from her that she needed out, but why my bed for goodness sake
My JRTs were completely house trained by 4 months, so haven't experienced this adolescent problem before..
Any advice
Fiona
