A fun ride with a difference!

Just wanted to share some pics of a lovely side-saddle fun ride that took place on Sunday at BCA, organised by a lovely lady who keeps her two horses there. And her husband took some beautiful pics of the afternoon...

After we'd gone round, there was also a resplendent tea to finish! A really lovely time was had by all

How did I get into side saddle? Well, my pony (the spotty) was off work during the winter and I was riding some Welsh cobs for their breeder, who happens to be very into side saddle. I had my first lesson in January and was hooked.

My pony first wore a side saddle mid-April and he has really taken to it - many do! I plan to start a little side saddle jumping in the next few weeks, as well as going autumn hunting with our local pack.
