Luckily I can walk to feed and check the horses, so I have never been worried for not getting to them.
BUT, the lady who currently keeps 10 at the farm could not get in, and after a frantic call from her, I was on hand. Now, only trouble is, I do not know these horses at all, no names, no 'quirks' or anything. After spending some minutes understanding the food chart, and deciphoring (sp?) which horse is which, I fed, hayed and topped up all their waters. They were all very good, even 'George' stayed in when I opened his door, (chart said George barges out!). Big Bay horse (good ain't I?!) had a very untidy bed, looks like he could of got cast, but as I don't know them, it could be his normal. He wasn't worried and was not injured in any way. I so struggled to open the darn hayledge bale though, I even got hot! lol
Iam glad I have helped, and no doubt will be called upon later where I will try to pick up some of the poo.
Times like this annoys many people, yet we can all come together to help and we all leave with a smile on our faces.
