After a complete confidence failure (both in myself and my boy) and vowing to myself not to go out of the school, we went out!!!:D
My wife and her new horse have been nagging me and I have been finding any excuse, today I was banking on the rain (it has been all day) but she insisted.
The moment we walked out of the gates it all seemed to go well both horses behaved impeccably and so we headed for the common and apart from a couple of slightly dodgy moments (horse eating branch for Magic and pure exuberance from Hudson) we really enjoyed the walk, even coming back through the village.
Really proud of the boys and us.
Just wanted to share!:D

Well done it takes a lot after a confidence knock, it took me two years, long may it continue :)

:D It took me two weeks of persuading ,and a loud snarl and growl"We going out today!". Surprisingly,he agreed and was very happy after! Such a good day! New boy was going in front and was behaving really nicely, but bit nervous.Hudson was full of beans, and despite his attempts to run, we done all in walk and it was just brilliant!!! So nice to go out hacking together! Well done my boys, really proud of all of you! And well done me of course:D
And of course,as a special Fathers Day treat tomorrow,i'll take my beloved hubby out on another(longer)hack!;)

Well we did it again today, went out for another hack, longer this time.
Hudson was really fired up and raring to go once we got out on the common, had to hold him back but we still managed to get a few paces in a controlled canter.
Had one moment when an old bi-plane came over at about 50 feet, gave the hotel guests on the terrace something to see as he tried to disappear into the road to avoid the tractor in the sky.
But all in all another good day, I think a canter up the Kings Ridge may be on the cards!:D

That was sooo god today! So pleased with the boys!Had a sticky moment on the road when Magic panicked when he saw erm..how to explain...wheelchair bike?you know what im talking about:)very horse eating thing.Boys walked really nicely, but Hudson tryed to run all the time, bless him!managed to lose both over reach boots,oh well.Canter on the common getting closer and closer !:)Well done my boys!

Really well done!
I'm also starting to get my confidence back after getting it severely knocked last year and I know how excited you feel about doing things that you would have completely taken in your stride in the past.
