I bought a radius rasp -- this: https://www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk/b_130_radius-rasp -- to maintain feet between trims (and also maintain feet when I could not find a trimmer/farrier for a while). While it was sitting unused in my tack box, the bit of plastic that holds the blade in broke. OH, who works in aerospace engineering, commented that it was a stupid design. I bodged it with Gorilla glue, which got it working but the blade is now permanently attached to the handle and will never come off again. When it becomes dull, I will need a new rasp.
I'm reluctant to get a real farrier's rasp, because I'm an uncoordinated klutz with these things, and I know you can screw that up. I'd also probably rasp myself/stab myself with it. Are there other idiot-friendly rasps out there which are a bit more robust?
