About a week ago there was a post here about fidgety youngsters & farriers. someone suggested using a lickit as a distraction. Brilliant, farrier has just gone youngster trimmed, farrier's back & my nerves are intact and the lickit is half eaten!!! So my thanks to whoever made the suggestion. :D
 
Right, I'm trying that next time!

My girl (not young I might add) was an idiot with my farrier on Monday. Has been known to have her "moments" from time to time but Monday she was just embarrassing! Luckily I have the most patient & understanding farrier.

I'm off to purchase a lickitt in readiness!!!

I too discovered the benefit of a mini horselyx when it came to clipping my horse this year! Both times he stood beautifully, completely engrossed in his lick. Only downside was the brown stains all over my hands and wrists where he dribbled! Lovely!
