I have just tried Naf d-itch ointment and within a few days Fella's sweetitch looks MUCH better, cuts healed up and scabs gone and dandruff reducing. At over £15 a tub it's expensive, but if it works (as it appears to be so far) I really don't care! It soothes and has fly repellant in it which is an added bonus. The only downside is it's pink which Fella hates. Evertime I get it out he looks at me as if to say "Any other colour but pink...please! Everyone's laughing at me mum!" I realise every horse is different and won't respond to the same thing, but after trying numerous things, which don't appear to make a blind bit of difference, finding something that is helping is a god send! Anything to make my boy less itchy is worth a try.

The active ingredient is benzyl benzoate, which is available here for £12.99 per litre bottle. Might work out a bit cheaper for you!

Just be aware that you cannot use benzyl benzoate on broken skin. I use sudocrem on Chloe's rubbed bits, but I'm on a damage limitation exercise, rather than a prevention one!
