So sorry... take comfort in that he is free from pain now and you did the kindest and most selfless thing for him. Take care.
I haven't been on for a while due to the forum not loading properly so I'm sorry, but its with a broken heart that I write this, this afternoon I had to make the decision of putting my 31 year old Arab cross (Legend) to sleep, he had suffered another bout of tying up and about 10 minutes after the vet had left he collapsed, me and my sister tried our hardest to get him back on his feet but he'd given up, I really don't know what to do with my self right now, but he went peacefully, although I can't come to terms with his passing, the worst part is my Shetland is now on his own.
Sorry if there is any spelling mistakes but I really can't function. I just wanted to get this out. thank you to anyone who listened.
So sorry. You got your boy to 31, what a life! You made the right decision but it still hurts. Worrying about your Shetland is understandable. You won't feel like considering it, but can you get a companion?
I've managed to log in today for the first time in months! so just read your sad news. I'm so sorry & I know how you feel having lost my girl last October. It gets easier but it's a roller coaster ride of emotions
