A hello and little question

Hi everyone, I've been nosing around this forum for a while now which has been very helpful when reading all the advice given on here that I never needed to join, however I am now stuck and hoping people might be able to help. I also apologise now if this is in the wrong section.
I'm desperately trying to find somewhere to keep my horse and maybe get a companion for him as my current yard just isn't working out for myself or my horse. My problem is that I just can't seem to find anything! I'm not fussy I don't need a stable or anything just a field with some form of shelter. Where does everyone find places? Is there some secret website that I don't know about? All I seem to find is expensive big livery yards with amazing facilities which is all well and good but I don't want to be paying for facilities which I won't be using.

Maybe look on preloved , or have a wander round & ask people - it sounds like you may want to rent some land or move to a smaller yard, Local tack shops may know of something that may suit

The internet isn't the answer to all questions. Possibly you should be looking at notices in tack shops, feed store & speak to saddlers, farriers etc as they are the people who will probably know of places for rent etc.
