A quick hello from Winston, for those who don't know him he is the cocker ~I adopted off Cayla.
He does this when you go bang bang, I think he looks beautiful!

We went beating and he was a star! We got invited last minute to go beating on the moor that my boyfriend's sheep live on. So he was used to gathering sheep on it. I was given a few concerned looks when they asked if we got out much and I said it was his first time! He was off the lead the whole day, came back every time when asked, didn't mind guns, flushed out a fair few grouse, left rabbits that ran around him and even was listening a bit to directions (me sheepdog whistling and waving arms about!). He even got tired but it was that last reallly hot wekend and jumping through heather is tiring!

We had some nice comments off the shooters and off the man running it, he said they could do with some sane cockers down south and that they sometimes go mad first time!

LOL, are you sure you don't actualy have a gun:eek: he looks rather traumatized:D:p
Glad to hear he has been working, better than sitting on his lazy spangle behind, free loading:D:D

He looks well:)

He looks like that cos he is realllllly concentrating on staying still! He didn't do that on the shoot fortunatly!

Alec: Yes moor is good first time i have seen him really tired, and the first time the keeper man said he had seen his 2yo springer tired.

The_original_Kao: Somehow he picked this up really well with not much effort, tended to put him in upside down position and say bang bang then cheese. He does this staggering thing when you do it to adds to effect. However roll over his new trick took ages! Seems to help having him sleep on it sometimes.

Cayla: He is a good working spaniel I am trying to teach him to be a helper spaniel so i can be a lazy arse. So far he will fetch post and a blanket for me so i don't have to get up from sofa! I just need to teach him to ind my keys! I have also taught him to run to my mum when I say wheres Granny Annie!
