A horse dealer in County Durham .. please read!

Sorry if this is in the wrong area, I wasn't sure on where to post it.

Since the day that nasty spoilt $*%&!! resold my NF pony on september the 24th 2004 at murton horse sales in York. I have been trying to find him ever since.
I havnt had much luck until recently when i was able to get hold of a bit of information from somebody at the inside of murton..

My pony Dylan .. a 13.2 bay newforest gelding. was aged about 7 then was sold to a MR SURTEES in the COUNTY DURHAM area on sept 24th 04. Apparently from the stables of CHIREON STUD ??? or something similar.

I cant find a stud or stables of any name or similar!! I was told that this man may possibly be a dealer, if so im sure other people may have previous contact with him..

Does anybody know of a Mr Surtees in the county durham area?!!

It is long time since I lived in the North East but I THINK I can remember a chap called Martin Surtees who used to have show hunters, think he was from the Durham area but cannot be more help than that - sorry
 
Hiya, yes, Martin Surtees was competing at a show I was at with my ID at the end of August and has been judging at a few since, i'll see if I can find his number and pm it to you.

I can't help with your situation but just to wish you luck finding your pony and to say don't give up! I was in a similar situation years ago and eventually found my girl 5 years later and bought her back - she lived the rest of her days with me! xx
 
I have no intentions of giving up, but the search just gets harder

I wish so much that i never sold him. I'd love to have him back home and for my daughter to love him and be her best friend just as he was with me!

Martin Surtees shows hunters and also does a bit of dealing - I can probably get his number as he is a friend of a friend - let me know if you don't get it from elsewhere. Not sure about Low House Farm though?
I think there is a Chirton Stud round here - I think it could be connected with local showjumper Gareth Watchman - but I may be wrong.

it must be the Martin Surtees I am looking for! The information I was given was that it was the coxhoe area. I've tried the number for Low House Farm on numerous occasions, but can never get through.
