There is a horse in my field that has seemingly been abandoned by his owner.
The owner has 3 others in my field but none have them have been touched for months. They are all matted and their feet are a mess but amazingly they are all nice natured and friendly.
I have fallen in love with one of them and would love to give him a second chance. People who know the owner think he would sell but I don't know how much to offer.
He is a 15.2 traditional piebald cob. He's evenly marked and nice looking. He is rising 7 but hasn't done much. He was "broken" at 5 but this seemed to involve dumping a saddle on his back and taking him down the road. He was hacked out a few times but then dumped back in the field.
I would be grateful for any ideas since he is a lovely boy and he deserves a good home
