A livery has turned up today, and have split up with their partner who is the one with the money. They can no longer afford livery or their horse and want her sold asap.

I have no idea in the current market what she is worth let alone for a quick sale. She is 16.2 8yo HW Coloured mare, 100% safe nothing phases her at all, you could send a child to hack out on her. She has been well schooled in the past and has lovely uphill paces for such a heavy girl, however she has not been in a school for a year as all her owner does is hack. She is good to box, shoe, clip etc etc. She is currently unshod as her feet are so good she does not need them. She jumps well, and did hunt with her previous owner. I am going to take her to our local show this weekend, to have a play with her, so she has at least been out and I can honestly say how she is with that.

I know they paid well over £8k for her 18 months ago, however the market has somewhat changed. A good home is essential as she is such a sweetie, I would have her tomorrow, but I know they wont take what I can afford. I am happy to keep her for a month or so till they find a good home, but what price will bring in real buyers and a good home?

Thank you.

ive just sold my 16.3 coloured lad pretty much same descrption but schooling needed work.. he sold for 5k.

Well, quick sale to me would be £3-4k! Can they not loan her to anyone or do they need the money?
I mean how quick do they want? £1500 and she'll be gone in a blink of an eye!! Obviously the higher the money, the longer they may have her...... all depends on the area as well, and how readily available that type of horse is.... she has to remember she may have competition!

people would think there is something wrong for 1.5k!!!

i would say 3/4k - there are a lot of people wanting something larger and safe.

I think they were done
