Just to add this horse is most definately NOT for sale!!!

6 year 16.2hh mare this is her breeding http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/elsa+de+thaix

Backed by a pro dressage rider in the summer of her 5th year then ridden lightly over the winter. Is now working at home Novice / Elementary level and competes with some success at prelim gaining over 60% at most outings.

Just started jumping and jumps a course of 2'6" easily at home but has never competed.

Has competed in a few endurance rides and proving to be good at this also.

Has never seen a true XC fence but is happy popping the odd log out hacking

Hacks well alone and in company.

Snaffle mouthed at all times.

Good to shoe box and catch.

A general pleasure to own and basically a superb all rounder that can turn her hoof to most things.

Have had her nearly a year and think I need to adjust her value on my insurance. Thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply rowy, her breeding is mainly show jumping but was bought by a pro dressage rider to be her next horse.
I am amazed at how much you say she is worth. I certainly wasn't expecting that much. I guess true allrounders are hard to come by.

it depends how much potential for dressage/ jumping she has. if you labelled her as a dressage horse and she had good paces to get her to a high level, she would certainly be worth about £4000. If you labelled her as an allrounder/ riding club sort she would probably worth about £3000 lol hope this helps :)

Am I reading this post correctly that the OP thinks that 3-4K is a higher price than they had expected? I am looking for a horse just like the one descried (I realise she is not for sale) and anything similar that is good looking is 6K plus and I've been looking for over a month..

Hello!!

To be honest with you, if a certain person can put her black 'thing' up for sale at £6500 then your girl must be worth that much!
Although you know what insurance companies are like.....

I tried to increase Axel's insurance a while ago and my insurance company refused to increase his even though he is doing elementary level dressage!

£6500!!! Really....well I hope she gets it!!!

I've really only just realised how far Elsa has come since I bought her last september. I have her insured for less than I paid for her and it just got me thinking. Good allrounders are apparently very difficult to come by. Not that I would ever sell her but she really is just a real pleasure to own and a fab allrounder that cold well go further in her dressage career.
I am a very lucky lady.
