A friend of mine is having some trouble selling her horse, how much would you value her at?

She is 15.1hh 8yrs old. Very safe, 100% traffic, box, clip, shoe. Hacks alone and in company. Sj, xc, dressage, hunting, will jump ANYTHING you point her at xc. Has done 3 years of pony club camp. Bred a coloured foal. No vices, does not buck rear or nap, real people horse. Not a novice ride as she is a little strong sometimes i.e. hunting so would probably not suit someone who hasn't ridden a lot.

I thought she would have had more interest considering how safe she is? I might be wrong! What do you think?

she is lovely! no good with valuations though but i am currently looking for similar so am interested in what people think so i can set my budget!!

Relatively local I think but she works for an eventer so its a decent height, forgot to mention all tack is included too.

what sort of competition experience has she got? She has got a great jump, really picks up her front legs...
and she is a lovely looking horse...

I think you could expect around the £3.5 to £4K mark...if she's got good competition experience / results, more.

As she has only done local and has no bsja, british eventing exp,i would class her as a decent all rounder,i would stretch to £3.5k but that be it tbh,my friend has her horse for sale and he has done bsja,BE novice, novice dressage, hunted etc etc and always placed, usually 1st 2nd dressage,he is up for £5750 so i definately wouldnt say £5k for her!Only other option is take advert down and retry in the spring, noone in the right mind would buy anything atm

She looks lovely and sounds great.I would have thought £4k (not a great time to be selling!)Probaly could have asked £7k 18 months ago

She has done well and competed a lot, was thinking more along the lines of her being a safe ride. There are a lot of horses out there that compete a lot and do well but arent great to hack, hunt, mother daughter share types etc. I assume people would pay for the safety factor. Shes not normally the type of thing I come across as I only have dressage horses, there doesn't seem to be as much of a problem the higher end.

I sold a 16.1hh version for a lot more than most peoples valuation here! He did have a BE record though and had won at RC/PC level in all disciplines. I would say 5.5k-6k.

She was up for around the 5k mark but I think she would take 4500 icluding tack, This sound about right?

I would have thought she was worth £5K easily even with only local level competition experience. Being coloured means she should be more saleable.
I don't think many people are looking at the moment so probably why she hasn't sold, I think she will be snapped up in Spring with warmer weather and longer days.

Hopefully thats it, everyone I know is buying up now to be ready for summer. I'll let her know shes not overpricing her anyway!!
