My YO might be getting another horse and if so it will have to go in my second stable (we only have 3 altogether, YO horse in one, my old pony in another and the third is for my horse). Now, this I don't really have a problem with as I am planning on leaving my horse out this winter (with companion and shelter) so won't need the stable, although it might have been nice to have it on standby.
But how much should I ask for off my livery if the stable is no longer available to me??
I currently pay £200/month, for 1 pony and 1 horse, which includes a stable, use of large (approx 6 acre) field, electric, water etc, but not feed, hay or straw. YO will also turn out bring in, feed, stand for farrier, etc for me without any extra charge, as I do the same for her.

Yes, I know £200 isn't bad for both, although we have no facilities what so ever, so school, even very little hard standing, i.e. can only tie one up at a time outside the stables! It's ok because there is only me and YO there but sometimes I wish I had a bit more money to play with each month and could go somewhere with a school.

I would ask for £10 a week off - I pay £30 a week for stable, grazing and use of school. I also have use of a secure feed room, storeage area for hay and bedding plus another locked area for my feeds and supplements (this is per horse) and I am based in Essex which is not the cheapest place for livery.

I supply all feed and bedding and any jobs I need done are then charged on top of my livery. Grass livery is about £15 a week round here, £20 if there is a school to use and tack/feed storage included.

I'm in yorkshire too....I pay £15 per week per horse for stable/grazing/floodlit arena and off-road hacking. I have my own feed room and tap. Hay/straw extra obviously.

So for a 5week month its £150 for the 2 (OH pays for the other one)......for stable/grazing.

I wouldn't be happy paying £200 for one stable .....but perhaps I am spoilt where I am.....

I pay £100 per month at my first yard where my mare is, there I have stable, school, individual field for turnout, DIY basis. At the other yard where I have my foals, I pay £10 per week per foal for just a field. That should give you some idea. That does of course include water supplied by automatic trough.
