Sorry if I offended, it was just my opinion and I thought you were thinking of a lowish price to sell, I was not trying to insult you or your horse .After 3 years and 29 starts with 3 clears I would move on or try a different discipline. Eventing is expensive and you seem unhappy.
He is a lovely horse and he would be a great hunting horse and that is probably the market to aim at. Good luck ,sorry if a bit blunt but feel you could do with moving on and enjoying your horse.
You just sounded like you wanted to move on .I probably got it wrong
Nobody has offended me - its just a horse. I get down because I know it is so capable but I have just not found the right buttons to push. I am also ultra critical and want perfection.
I am just tired and feel tonight I have let myself down and been mean to people ,which is not my style and I am very sorry.I really don't want to offend anyone.
He is not just a horse he is your horse and I agree you need to find a good showjumping trainer.
Please enjoy either way.Winning is not important , enjoying is!
I've never seen your horse or you! But maybe you are just trying too hard. practice does make perfect, but i definately believe that you can try too hard, especially when show jumping. Believe me I've done it!! whats your jumping like at just a SJ competition, but not at an event? Maybe you are putting too much pressure on yourself to jump a clear round cos it is so important when eventing?
You know what I think - get a different trainer with some showjumps on grass, ride him more often now the clocks have changed and ring Heather at Neue Schule to try and sort out the bitting issue.
If you sell him you have to get something else as you are better than I am and if you give up what hope is there for me?!
Finally, come and ride mine, it will make you feel better about your riding.
As for his record, well, mine is no better, lots of SJ faults and I think I've only ever managed clears SJing at intro....
