11 y/o ISH mare
had succesful SJ career jumped up to fox with he Renwicks, and went aff eventing at intro level once with me and went double clear but awful dressage despite nice paces, then bread a foal. is sound and rideable but is definately not an easy ride. Not been ridden apart from the occassional hack since bred foal last year. Is there market for this horse atm? Have to sell due to finances and time commitments so would be greatful if you could give me a guess at her value.

She has Artic Que, King of diamonds and Ballinvella blood lines. Many thanks

Sounds very interesting. Can't see that you would get much more than £3k for her though unless you can get her fit. I would have concerns about a horse that had been turned away about its soundness (just from a cynical point of view). You don't say what she is like to hack?

I have 4 other horses and none of them are getting much work at the moment due to personal issues with housing so time to get fit is not a great possibility. I see where you are coming from re soundness but if need be i guess they could have her vetted and she trots up sound fine. You can hack her out but again not a novice ride. I have never been much of a hacker but wtih someone confident who knows what they are doing she would probably settle down although this horse is never going to be what i call a 'hangover horse'

oh forgot to say my icon photo is her. Was taking her to dressage before she was in foal. if she knew it was dressage she wouldn;t be looking so happy. she just lives to jump thinks she has a approx 450 BSJA winnings

That seems cheap to me but I guess at the moment horses are not selling well, she sounds fab as a sj'r or to put in foal with a jumping stallion?

How big is she?

I had a well bred Geman warmblood mare who had been out of work as a broodmare for 5 years. I asked for opinions on value and was told £800-£1500.
I spent £1000 bringing her back into work with a local event rider and sold her for £3750, she was 12.

I'd be inclined to avoid putting her on horsemart and free sites as they do tend to attract the numpties. Horsequest & Horse and Hound generally get the more serious comp minded buyers.
