A joint supplement that doesn't cost the earth?

Whenever Storm comes out of her box she's always stiff and pottery in front but is perfectly fine once she loosens up. Are there any good joint supplements on the market that are any good and don't cost a small fortune? I've never had to use a joint supplement before so I'm completely stumped

Mine are on Mobifor. I buy it in 5l tubs and I think its £115 for about 8months supply (you can buy it in smaller bottels 1l is £25 i think - lasts approx 40days - then they do a 2l bottle but dont know how much that is) works out at approx 50p/d
 
I use JointFX.

It's not cheap in that it's £56 for a big tub, but the tub does last 3 months so it's not that bad.
 
How long does a tub of D&H mobility last? Hopefully she'll be out of her box and out in the field 24/7 soon which wll be the end of her stiffness!
 
people may disagree, but when i put my lad on Gold label, Glucosamine and chondroitin (sp) i noticed he walked out better. It's not dear either, £20 something a tub, but can't remember how long it lasted
 
Gold label Glucosamine is very reasonably price and people who buy it have remarked on good results. Also the Glucosamine Ultimate by Gold Label.
I give all of mine a good dollop of veggie oil as none have a problem at the mo, but GL is the one I'd turn too first if I did!

They're on exactly that at the moment (I had no idea it was good or joints though) but I haven't noticed any difference in the way she walks out of the stable.
 
Cairo has had a huge improvement since I started feeding instant linseed, so much so, that I am going to try taking him cortaflex.

Cheap and I get mine from Simple Systems (along with my other feed) or you can get it from Gold Label.

Also gives a lovely coat and in the amounts I feed, does not make him fat.
 
Well Missugoopy recommended i use Gold ladel Glucosamine for my mare who was looking a little stiff, she's been on it now for a little over 2 weeks, i rode her yesterday and could tell the difference, its around £21-£22
They have to have 2 little scoops a day for 3 weeks and then 1 scoop a day, so the first tud should last about 4-5 weeks then after that should last 7-8 weeks.
 
Mine is on Joint Right Supreme which you can only buy online from the Scientific Nutritional Products website.

It costs about £20 for a month's supply but you can buy bigger ones and it has Glucosamine, MSM, Hyaluronic acid, Chondroitin and Omega 3. It is the cheapest I've found that has all these ingredients in it.
 
Cortaflex. I noticed such a difference when Will was on it that I put Star on it. Then last year when Puppy started getting very stiff I put her on it - she has gone from struggling to bounce into the car to happily doing two hour rides with the horses. The difference in my animals convinced me so much that I've now put myself on it since new year, and have undoubtedly noticed a difference; I can trot without being in pain now for the first time in about ten years

I use cortaflex - I get a big tub which is around £50, however I only use two tubs a year. I use 3/4 scoop per day for my 14.1 pony. That works out at just over 27p per day. I buy mine from my local tack shop. I am sure you could get it cheaper on the internet.
 
I've had good results with Equiflex from Vetvits. £14 a tub and lasts 2/3 months. (I think.... it's on DD and I loose track!)

The reason it's cheaper is you don't pay VAT as it's imported from Geurnsey (sorry sp?) and you have to buy straight from them so there are no ridiculous mark ups!

I've tried th Global Herbs one and Cortaflex and this is just just as good as both of them I've found.
