Ok so it looks like I am moving again. (long story) :(
I have so much stuff I just know my OH is going to moan about it all again.
I have been wondering what to do with Lucys rugs. She has so many. I'm obviously going to keep afew of the special ones but don't think i'd be alowed to keep them all. It has been sugested that I sell them but to be honest I don't want to do that. I was thinking of maybe donating them to a charety. But i'm not shore if they would take second hand rugs? Do they do this?
Also I have no idea who to donate them to? Or how to get the rugs to them?
Oh I just don't know what to do. Please can someone tell me if this would be possable or not.

Also I made a video of the last time I ever rode Lucy. It was at the 14mile sponsoured ride.

Thankyou for reading. I hope this post makes sence. :(

Hi
I'm sorry you have to move yet again :(
I know the equine charity I work for would be thrilled to receive rugs, in any condition, so just contact a local horse charity, they will be really pleased, especially as its going into winter.
Good luck with the move xx

I would contact either a horse charity local to you or one of the big boys like WHW and see if they would come and collect whatever it is you want to donate. I'm sure that some second hand rugs will come very handy to a rescue.

Sorry to hear about a move again when you're just settling. I think horse charities do take rugs, or our local big one does anyway. And I've heard that if they have too many donations of such things, rather than let them go to waste they sell them off cheaply with a sale at their premises every so often and make more money for the charity that way so if your local horse charity does the same you'll be helping the horses either way. Or alternatively could you do a horse tabletop sale yourself and just send them the money you make?

You're not losing that lovely school and hacking out into the forest are you? Or is it just the house part you are moving?

Thanks guys. I thought they probably would take rugs but I have lost all ability to think streight again. :( Does anyone know any charetys in or around the new forest? I just can't think of any.

MochaDun We're all on the move. :( Don't know where to yet it's all so up in the air at the mo. I keep being told it's all going to be ok but it's just another upheavel again. :(:(

oh Laura! what's happened? :(

I'd contact a local charity and see what they think - I think it's a lovely idea to give the Lovely Lucy's rugs to help another less than fortunate pony, and I'm sure that the chairties will be very grateful for your help.

If there's nobody local to you, youc could sell them on e-bay and give the money to a nationwide charity. It's a bit more hassle but would still be a lovely thing to do.

thanks Clannad48 I'll look into that. Lucy did abit of RDA in her time.

annagain I know it probably sounds insane but I don't think I could bare to sell her rugs :( I realy don't want to get rid of any of them but I know it's silly keeping them all and don't want OH to have a moan at me again. :(:(

Riding for the Disabled would probably love to have them if you are near one. It'd be a lovely legacy. Hope you're ok Laura, it'll be a toughie, but we're here for you. sm x
