a little help

sorry if this is long winded but I need a bit of advice!!

A guy left the yard and left 10 bales of shaving I said I would buy the bedding from him. I had not paid him yet and the YO asked if I had and told her I had not so she took them saying he owed the yard owner money and int the end she took 4 of the bales in lew of payment (which was a lot less that he owed her!) so i paid him for the 6 remaining bales (oklay this was 2 months ago?!) and told him about the other 4 and he said it was okay. Now he has sent me a thretening e-mail saying I have to pay for the remaining for or he is going to take action against me for the remaining £25?!?! I sent him a nice e-mail saying that I have never had the 4 bales as the YO has them and so not going to pay for them and again I get a really rude e-m what would you do?? sorry this is very random!

Send the idiot another e-mail; tell him you will inform the police is he desn't stop harrassing you.
Also get the YO to e-mail him explaining that she took the remaining bales.

ignore him. or reply saying you have already stated that you are in no way responsible for the 4 remaining bales and that you consider the matter as closed. keep copies of your correspondence just incase he is a pillock and pesters you further, but other than that don't get sucked into a pointless arguement.

I had a similar issue years ago with an ex landlord threatening me. I think this guy like the landlord is trying to pull a fast one. Dont get involved dont get emotional.

Send a factual email make it as inpersonal as possible you can even write it like a letter.

Keep a copy printed and on line. If he emails you again just send the same email again. Dont add to it, dont feed him verbally just restate every time.
