Between spending most of my weekend end on the phone I have finally made a little progress with the ginger one
I am now able to go into her stable and touch her shoulder without being kicked or having her huge butt swang in my face
Is rather embarrassing making up songs to try and chill her out but I think I found the one
"Smelly Ellie with a big splodge on her belly" actually works well
(sad I know)
On a more serious note, have many people had a possibly abused (am just assuming this could just be non handling) horse who can give me some tips on how to make further progress?
I honestly dont know what has happened with her, she`s really head shy, you cant get near her (unless you sing lol). In the field she happily comes towards you ears pricked then all of a sudden something clicks and she lunges for you....
But once she has a head collar on she`s like a baby and doesnt put a foot wrong.
Have bought a field safe head collar to leave on but she manage to get it off everytime its on without breaking it
Anyway some piccies of the ginger beast
