Just updating really after a post a while back, any tips to make her a bit more careful?

i have had a few issues, and now have her in a waterford which seems ok *touches wood*, just havent been out in it yet.
Shes the kind of horse that needs to be told sometimes and it used to be that i would check her for a stride..she didnt listen and we wd end up underneath it/have awkward jumps.
Anyay there has been some trial and error and the last 2 nights shes been ok.

First lesson- jumped in a 20x40 with jumps in all 4 corners..so its pretty tight and then on in the middle like you could do on a figure of 8,. She was strong and it was tricky and tight for space, but if i kept a good hold of her she wasnt too bad. We did a few dog legs which made her a bit more excited but got there in the end. At the end we put all the feinces up to 1m approx PN height and she was good:)

The second one was a fun clinic, and we did some gridwork and then jumed a small course at the end. she was really good, but a bit tired! and you can probably see how she doesnt pick her front legs up all of the time!

hope u like:) she is not show jumping both days of the weekend to try and see if my bit is enough

I hope you dont mind a bit of constructive criticism....
She's a super jumper but looks a little tight in her jump.
When you give over a fence you're a bit guilty of pushing the elbows forward but not the whole arm (I'm sure you know this!) Think of pushing your hands a little more toward the mouth, not up the top of her neck. This gives a horse that jumps with it's neck a bit high all the freedom it needs. I've been working on this with one of mine as he jumps a little too much out, not round and it really helps.

Thanks:) i think i was a bit wierd yesterday as normally when i canter into a fence i have to have quite short reins to keep a hold of her, whereas trotting into fences is something i dont do and i was letting my reins a bit long, so then when i was in the middle of the grid the instructor kept saying keep hold(more than i would normally) and i felt a bit wierd..if that makes sense!!)

i actually thought the same as i looked at the photos!

she is a bit tight, sometimes she will bascule nicely but still leave those legs dangling, im hoping to do these gridowrk clinics regularly as i think it will help her sort out what shes doing for herself a little more and hopefully make her a bit more careful; she found it hard work yesterday and needed a bit of guidance:)

i dont mind the CC at all:)
