Hi all well the move went ok on Sat. We moved most of my stuff out on Fri night so we where just left with the horse stuff on Sat.
We loaded all the stuff in the horsebox then i went to get Herbs and load him. Would the little watsit go in the lorry
I told him we where going somewhere nice and he didn't have to worry as i was going with him. But well he's a pony and obviously didn't understand what i was saying
We got him in after about 20 -30 mins so i was actualy very pleased. He did nearly go in after about 10mins but my OH was leading him from the wrong side and he couldn't turn round so he just reversed back down the ramp
Lesson lurned.
Anyway once we had him on he travelled realy well. He didn't make a sound till we entered the New Forest. Then he gave a loud whinny. It was so sweet and made me wonder if he recognised where he was (being a forestbred). I don't know which part of the forest he was born on but maybe he knew it was the forest.
When we arrived i put him streight out in his field. He had a little wander round and even broke into a trot for a few strides then just started grazing.
Later the other horses where turned out in the field next door and he squealed over the fence at them lots.
I'm pleased he has settled in well and today while i was poo picking he followed me round and kept giving me kisses
He also kept trying to knock the wheelbarrow over
. Nevermind I love him anyway. I'm going out to lunge him in the school in a bit so wish me luck with that LOL i've never taken him in a school before so it could be fun
