As you all know the plan was to sell/loan D and loan or buy a quiet confidence giving horse for myself as it just wasn't happening between us.
Well D has been ridden by my friend and it made me see there is no crazy evil horse there just a stroppy teenager that needs putting in his place. I also am so attached I know I cannot part with him but also know I cannot ride whilst my confidence is this low and he is the way he is.
i have a friend who has the perfect horse for me and I have ridden him a few times has a sharer who yesterday gave her notice so I going to be sharing him from February
also the yard owner of their yard is happy to squeeze D in too (still need to finalise this and go up to meet her and have a proper chat) so he will be there too.
Another friend also knows someone who is looking for a horse to share and is experienced to deal with my boy so I am going to contact her and see if she wants to take him on. Plus I have people to ride out with so if I feel braver in a few months time I will be able to go for a quiet hack!! My friend has also offered to help ride D and although it is a small yard there seems to be plenty of people with experience which is what I need!
I am so excited and there is still a lot to sort out like what to do with the little loan Shetland etc but seems like a positive move! Hopefully a year down the line of D not getting his own way and me building my confidence we might be able to get on. If not I can just carry on sharing and still get to be in my boys life too.
Thanks everyone for your support and hopefully this is the start of some positive stuff.
