How much would you expect to pay for a stable on the following yard?

DIY Yard, with only 8 stables and not 8 different owners!!

Facilties are stable, grazing, secure tack room, lorry parking, shared barn for hay / straw

No menage but good flat paddock and excellent hacking over Somerset countryside.

Thank you!!

For got to add indiviual t/o if needed, set of showjumps and owner living on site. The yard is fully gated.

Thank you for the replies so far!!

Exactly what we have (only 7 stables at our place), it's £15 p/wk.

Also lucky enough to have lovely yard with vet (no call out charges!) & indoor school we can hire just over the road

Sounds very much like our yard - before menage was built, it was £60pcm and now we have a menage it is £80pcm. We are in Suffolk. Sounds identical to what you descibe (same number of stables etc!)

So your yard is £60/week - £80/week for DIY?

What does this include and what do you have to do/provide yourself?

Sorry! I am being totally thick!

I am just trying to get an idea as I am going onto DIY livery next week, and will be paying £30/week for stable and field use, another £10/week for as much decent haylage as I want, and £10/week for the school (unlimited use). I will pay if I want my horse turned out or anything extra. I'm providing my own feed and bedding.

I thought this was fair but it seems many people are paying a lot less on here. It is unlikely I will leave because I have been on full livery there for 5 yrs and on the whole it has worked out very well. I am part of the furniture really. They have stopped doing full livery, or livery at all actually, except for me.

Mickey, I pay 30pw for DIY and £8 per week for as much haylage as I want. There is no charge for the use of the School. I also pay for 'extra's' such as turn out / bring in etc.

SallySmith, thanks for that. So it is pretty similar to my arrangement except you don't pay for use of the school. I presume you buy your own hard feed and bedding separate to this arrangement?
