I haven't posted for a while as the poor little dude injured his foot and had several (11!!) weeks off work, so nothing much has been happening since our last update in March! However he has come back into work and to me, feels better than ever!!
Whilst he was off work we had some interesting e-mails...
Unfortunately can't make the dates for the U25s which is a real shame as it was a long term goal of mine and would be my last year. The Areas though, I know nothing about but I am going to enter for sure. I think it's at Hartpury which will be disastrous (spooky!!) but what an amazing experience! This time last year I never even thought we'd get to a BD, let alone qualify for stuff at Novice!
And last Saturday he went on an adventure! We thought for his first competition he could do some showing, as he can be a spook monster after a break and I didn't want to embarrass myself in a test! Despite somehow managing to lose my boots (?!??!?) and having a last minute panic, I managed to procure some on the day! Check out the matching browband and jacket
Well what can I say - yes he was spooky, but he was also very very beautiful and judge seemed to think so too
And then yesterday we had our first lesson since his break and he was so so cool. Just so much fun to ride, full of energy but not stupid about it (apart from spooking at sunbeams lol!!). I think a break must have done him good! I am horribly unfit so drop him a bit at times but he feels a million dollars.

And some pics!
We have dressage on Wednesday and I am super excited! Only unaff, but it feels amazing to be able to get out there again. I have some large and unreasonable goals for next month (which won't share as it will result in jinxing and lost shoes) but needless to say I need to renew my BD membership!!
