My horse was born on a stud where all the youngstock were turned out together and the hard feed, nuts, was put out on the grass with no buckets.

Now 15 years later my horse always flicks his feed bowl with a front hoof so the feed is tipped out onto the floor of the stable or on the the grass. It is actually quite clever, as he gives the bowl just the right "flick" to make it flip over.

I don't know what he would do if he couldn't tip the food out, he would be quite annoyed I expect, although he always goes back to bowl to give it a final lick clean.

Like the head collar thrower, my old horse ignores his over reach boots outside his stable all night, then when he sees me in the morning, pulls them down and throws them at me. He knows that he can't go out until he has them put on.

my old mare used to play with her bucket when she had finished eating, she nearly decapitated me once by throwing it with some force over the door when i walked down the aisle past her stable, i swear she timed it haha :D
