I recently bought a lorry from a friend at my yard.

The lorry is brill but I think I am having similar problems as she did with the box - my horse doesnt like the rear unload.

Basically Im wondering how much to sell the box for, its in need of some paintwork doing, but asides from that its a lovely box.

Its a Bedford CF - its only got 16k on the clock and has been very well looked after with a new floor in the last 18 months and a new ramp. It'll take two x 16hh TB types comfortably oh and its a 3.5T.

I haven't a clue really on what its worth, I paid mates rates for it so as long as I cover what I paid Id be happy.

Sorry I meant WelshRareBit!

I don't know anyone up that area but I would keep trying - if the lorry is what you are looking for other than the laoding problem it may be worth the cost of putting a side ramp on?

about £1500 ?

would probably be overweight with 2 on board?

Are you able to remove cener partition, would this give you room to turn your horse around and bring out frontwards?

On my paperwork I read its 2160 - so that would make the payload about 1340 - is this right? I thought that would be enough for two horses.
The parition is out but still not enough to turn him...

As it is, probably £1500. If you are thinking of having a side ramp put in, this would add to the weight quite a bit. Don't take the weight for granted, go to a weigh bridge and get it weighed unladen with a full tank of fuel. TBH, I wouldn't think it is worth spending the money on having a side ramp fitted as you may well find the box unbalanced.
