I know afew people who think i'm mad for coming onto HHO. It has a reputation as a scary place apparently ;)
But I've always found everyone so lovely and supportive esp through the tough times with Lucy's illness, loosing her and then taking on the horrid one.
But what happened today has realy left me lost for words as to the kindness some people can show to others.
Some of you may have seen a post I made afew months ago asking for people to vote for Lucy in a comp so I could win a drawing of my amazing mare. I just missed out on the prize despite an amazing reaction from this forum to my request for votes. :)
I've been waiting for the person to run another comp so I can have another go to try to win a drawing of Lucy as i've always wanted one and just can't afford to get one done.
Today Sprout came up to meet my boys and the rest of my gang and she said she had a little present for me from her and MrsMozart. I couldn't believe it when she gave me a portrait of Lucy.
It looks just like my lovely mare and now has pride of place in the sitting room just above the telly :D
Words cannot describe how much this picture means to me and thankyou just doesn't seem good enough for this amazing act of kindness they have shown to me.
The picture has been drawn by PapaFrita on here and a thankyou goes out to her to. It's amazing and realy does look just like Lucy :D
So a massive thankyou to Sprout and MrsM.
There are still some lovely lovely people out there. xx
 
Wow what a lovely lovely story. It's very heartwarming to hear that there are some genuinely very nice very caring very thoughtful people out there. Well done Sprout, mrs m and papafrita and enjoy your portrait Laura xx
 
What a lovely thought , but you know ,your stories about Lucy and then ' the horrible one' has given huge inspiration to us all , so really one good turn deserves another..
 
That is lovely, how thoughtful of sprout and Mrs M - and PF is awesomely talented so I'm sure it is just great! :)

I've often thought that Sprout & Mrs M are 2 of the kindest, nicest, loveliest forum members, and this confirms my deepest suspicions that I'm right :D

I have found that this place can be very very supportive in times when I have needed it, what a lovely thoughtful and generous gift, huge pat on the back to everyone involved.
 
I love PF's work.....
What a lovely, lovely thing to do, but then I'm not so suprised, as Mrs M, Sprout and PF are very lovely people!!
That is a very very nice picture of Lucy!
