So pleased he is doing ok. If its any help my bay cob in my sig was very very ill as a yearling- grass sickness seemed to be the most likely thing- too weak to geld until 3 years or break to saddle until 5. This fighter turned into the horse of my dreams, despite his late start he represented his RC in SJ at area champs, got to HOYS at 13 yrs(SFAS Cobs) and at 15 is a regular at the front of the jumping field loving his hunting! its amazing how they can suprise you with their strength!

I don't think he enjoyed being at the vet's much, they shut him in completely every night and I think it was scarey despite the radio, his bed was such a mess every morning.. No choice really because if he climbed out during the night it would have been dire. He just had to lump it.
Your OH looked after him some of the time, I'm so impressed with them as vets, the real treatment should have been a bigger op at the vet hospital, but they realised the cost would be prohibitive..I bless the day I was recommended to use that practice, I've lost count of the amazing things they've done for us over 15 years.
Next time you visit pm me, it's quite fun seeing all the horses here, very different to conventional horse keeping with everything from TB's to mini shetlands living completely naturally and in harmony.

I can see his little face peeping over the door as I type, he has Layla next to him and his Dad in front, he looks much happier already..
