A new breeding initiative

Do you think so? They haven't been interested so far. I've heard you need a unique selling point. My squorsy is unique but surely there are more newsworthy things out there if they knew where to look?

I think you should get in touch with 'Barking Mad' they are bound to have an animal behaviorist who is an expert on squirrels. My O/H liked the lady who could tame Rottweillers you know skin tight leather cat suit and knee high boots.

He used to watch her for hours hasn't done a scooby do for our Collie she still chases our horses given a chance.

Oh I thought that the Squorsey animal behaviourist is called 'Bright Eyes'.
I've seen her in action. Behind her bushy tail exterior she gets her teeth into any problem very quickly. Sends moles running into every hole with the quickest click of her fingers. Perhaps you could use her for your vermin problem Shirley2?

Well funny you say that Toffeesmarty, I had a sort of behaviourist in today. What a day I've had!
Decided to take the vermin by the tail and I called in the Squirrel Whisperer [Dalores] today, first thing with my troublesome one is that it is indeed an inbred rat/squirrel. Dalores said it must be killed immediately as it is so mean, she had never seen such a fat, ugly creature. She watched his brazen antics for a while and then decided it was no good "whispering to such an ignorant beast"
Que the arrival of the "squrat" lady; Jezabel. Well, what a woman! Go Jezabel. She teased, she cajoled, she swore. She netted, she smoked, she beat, she noosed, she even asked him to lay down and die, did he hell! But he did run away, he hasn't been seen for hours now.....

Oh I'm glad to that they've let Jezebel out into the community again.
We used her as a consultant when cloning Squorsey. Probably why we have bit too much squirrel going on.

Is she happier being back in the community? I hear that gnawing on the prison bars drove her mad. Her teeth were so sharp and shiny she must have been something to watch in your yard chasing your vermin-devil child. Did you get any pictures by chance?

No pictures sadly, Jezabel refuses to have a camera anywhere near her since the sun ran a piece on her a while back. Apparently it had something to do with someone in tv, someone springer I think she said [she was raving a bit by now]
We did get a close look though, he had huge teeth and a really wrinkly neck, uugh

I think I know him too! Shortish?
Does this ring any bells with you? Could be we mean the same person? I'm useless on names but I'm sure it'll come back to me.

Now, what stallion semen to use on Squorsey next time?

casey2312, excellent train of thought, they could prove formidable eventers, across any cross country jumps!
toffeesmarty, perhaps a TB to give him some speed

I've been researching your Squorse and Squony idea, but you have to be really careful or you'll attract these nasty critters, they think Squony is a banquet... very vicious...

Coontailed Squirrelena - A nasty little critter - part raccoon, part squirrel, part hyena - watch out, he bites. His Howling at the moon spooks the neighborhood. Hunts in packs and very fond of snacking on other hybrids

Well done Gingernags, I think you have highlighted a very important point about ensuring you do a lot of research before you start breeding.

Shirley you didn't read my last post on OCSD. It is really important you get details of your breeding initiative onto the News Forum.

It is currently dominated by frivilous celeb stuff. Time to return to serious equestrian issues. You may have missed the 2012 equine pathway but there is always 2016.

As said before Katie's horse has been out in front on his own for far too long time to show him what your Sqoursey is made of.

I understand Admin are awarding Oscars for the most interesting post - how could you lose?

I'm sure Shirley won't mind me pointing this out, but I am the very proud person behind Squorsey (aka S.Q)

I feel that only those with the widest experience and ability to accept new things will recognise the potential that SQ will bring to all accepts of the horse world. Hence putting the information in here so that we can input more experienced breeders thoughts into developing the next cycle of youngstock.

Any suggestions how I can get SQ to walk alongside my shoulder? I know it's early days in his training but he want to be ON my shoulder.
Not good practice for the show ring, and my shoulder bl**dy hurts!

I would be more concerned about him going to the loo while on your shoulder. Seen the mess a Parrot can do, & it must be worse then any baby sick, especially with a dodgy tummy!!

I think you need the lady in skin tight black leather who tames Rottweilers he wouldn't mess with her or on her.

Sorry not to have correctly attributed the breeding initiative.

When can we see the videos?

Waiting to buy new camera. Squorsey had a sudden attack of pique and ate last one. You should have seen him run along before , hopping and jumping with it under his paw!!! Definate puissance pedigree!!
Maybe BSJA are going to have to replace 'newcomers' classes with 'nutcrackers'?

Hmmmmmm squirrel slayer doesn't have quite the right ring does it? But if we need to name it after a very unique animal how about the SQer
