…to cone of shame. Speyed yesterday, absolutely livid with all of humanity ever since. Plagues wished upon the houses of my descendants, bounty upon the heads of the vets responsible, deals done with the devil etc etc etc
Opted for cone and body suit just incase as well, you know what she’s like. Surprisingly she hasn’t needed the cone since yesterday and has coped well with the body suit/not gone for her surgery site thus far/doesn’t really seem to notice anything has happened. Has jumped on the footstool this evening in the thirty seconds she was out of her crate, on lead, to go for a pee as is a swine - typical. I will now be awake all night concerned I am sure, even though I know she will be fine. Has been typically stoic but un typically very easy going about the whole thing since being at home. Was a nightmare for the vets, of course - who once again underestimated my warnings of ‘that which she doesn’t want to do, will not be negotiated nor battled over’
Has been a long time since we had a bitch to spey so hoping she’s back to normal soon, walks aren’t as fun without her. After three years mulling about a litter the high likelihood of c-section in the breed outweighed all the pros, and the deed was done to prevent all the other bitch related problems.
