I've had Mustard a month now

Most of that time he's been out in a massive field with Moon and I've just hacked them at weekends where he proved fab, straight out on his own no fuss

They both came back in on Saturday and have been adjusting to a life of horsewalker, school and no turnout!!
So far so good, he stepped over 3 poles no fuss on the lunge today. He's very bold and brave in his outlook so I have a niggling feeling he'll be staying a bit longer than he's meant to be

Doing his best racehorse impressions-

15.3hh, 4yr old tb by Golden Snake. Raced 6 times on the flat this year, was utterly useless!!
Very pleased with him so far, he's a doddle compared to many!!

I can't believe how much he is like my horse. I posted about her a while ago as I am trying to sell her (no luck yet will try again in new year!)

Good luck with Mustard

He does look every inch the racer in that first photo.
I've got two ex racers here, well one who has just come out of racing and one who didn't actually make it as far as the track as only recently backed. I love them personally.

Looks very nice and a seems to have a good walk on him as well! Lovely length of stride.

Thanks

I'm pleased with his movement, hopefully he'll prove smart enough for the dressage phase against those bloomin warmbloods!!

They say that it is hard to improve a walk, and if a horse has a good walk, then chances are the rest of his paces are above average as well. Would be interesting to see some more of him moving when you get the chance!
