Towards the end of last year I posted a very sad thread as my coblet had been found dead in her field very unexpectedly. At the time I was heartbroken and really struggling with my loss and you were all incredibly kind and understanding.

Well the good news is that I now have a new pony ! I got him at the beginning of December. He is a 5 year old, 15hh gelding, and another coblet and goes by the name of Geoffrey !!! He is incredibly sweet, very kind and affectionate but also quite green. I didnt do much with him in December as I wanted him to settle in and for us to get to know each other. We started working him this month, but of course it has all come to a grinding halt now because of the damn weather. But he was coming on leaps and bounds. My riding instructor had started schooling him and he had been out hacking on his own and was proving to be a brave little chap, unphased by a lot of things and a quick learner. So we have a little training plan in store for him. Laura, my instructor, is going to school him for me a couple of times a week, he will go out hacking 2 or 3 times a week too, and she thinks if I work really hard with him I will have a cracking pony by the summer! So it will be a nice little project to work on and hopefully I will soon have a pony that I can really trust and bond with and who will see me to the end of my riding life. Here are some pics of him.

Was he advertised in H&H in East Anglia? I wanted him :D :p

He looks happy! Glad you are having a nice time together.

Not sure about his head from those pics but you could tidy that up and have a nice little cob to show, very attractive, far nicer than some skewbald cob pics i have seen on here ;)

Thank you for your kind comments everyone. A positive end to a really tough couple of months. I have to confess I wasnt sure about his name to start with but it has kind of grown on me now lol

Ha ha, Luvracing, I was thinking how do they know Cossie, and it suddenly clicked who it was. Yes roll on our Sunday morning adventures and I know our mounting off the wall is going to be a bit interesting to start with lol x
