Has any one used Fast Fibre for their dentally challenged beasties? Id like to use it as an easy to eat hay replacer as my mare is very fed up with her JustGrass & tends to kick it over if shes in a tizz!

Also shes a 25yo TB & prefers small feeds so i was going to swap what would be a small scoop of Baileys No 4 cubes for Blue Chip Original. Does any one recommend it?

Fast fibre is an excellent feed for those with teeth issues/oldies imo.

I think blue chip is over priced, you can get similar products for a lot less. It isnt the same type of food as baileys no 4 but swapping to a balancer will ensure all her vits/mins are covered, which they may not be on the current diet. If she needs extra energy for weight gain you will have to add another type of feed as balancers wont help put on weight.

I use Fast Fibre on a retired 'stressy' TB eventer type. He was getting gastric problems - losing weight, starey coat etc. It is absolutely fabulous and a good way to increase digestable fibre intake.

Im using bluechip and think its amazing and wont go back off it. in my opinion not over priced and i only use 1 bag a month! I would talk/email bluechip and ask which is the best product for your mare!

I've been using Blue Chip Original for 2 years now and think its worth every penny. I have tried swapping to Bailey's low cal but my mare refused to eat her feed.

My farrier always comments on how good her feet are and her coat gleams.

This last year I have reduced the amount of Blue Chip, she gets a quarter of the plastic beaker in her feed once a day, so a bag lasts me 6 - 7 months.
