"It's ripping the newspaper in it's cage up:confused: and tipping it's food bowl and im constantly clearing up after it.

Even funnier, OH lost his blob and said "what did you want it to do, read the f****r":D:D:D

Erm, take the neswpaper out:rolleyes: me thinks the puppy was too much and they expected it to be like old shep, and the newspaper was the most feeble excuse, thick as pigs sh!t:rolleyes:
 
Probabaly the best thing for the pup in the long run. I have no idea what these people think they will be getting. I have never heard of a puppy, or a dog for that matter, that didn't require a fair amount of "clearing up" after it. :rolleyes:

Well at first I was polite in order to get the pup, and then when I removed the pup and she turned and said "please let me know where you rehome the dog and make sure it gets a good home":eek: I let her have some mouth and then OH make the newspaper comment, it was also &pm on Saturday she demanded the pup be removed, so that made me mad as hell, I mean, yeah I never bought the pup, but I will come and remove it because it's an emergency, it's ripping up newspaper on a Saturday.

You cannot exactly say no, otherwise they could end up anywhere they are so desperate to get rid:confused:
 
Another scenario that made me loose it, a girl telling me I need to take her si dog away cos it's growling at her kid, said dog was bought as a pup from a puppy farmer, "so when are you taking it, it's need to go now", so how the feck is that my responsibility, but even worse, she then comes out with "I think she will get a puppy thats less likely to bite them once he is gone":eek::mad::mad::mad:
 
Fooking ell, don't know how you stop yourself pinning them up against the wall! I just dont understand some people. Heres me nearly homeless, refusing to even consider rehoming my dogs and there are toss pots like that out there getting shot at the drop of a hat. :mad: The amount of letting agents I've shouted at this month for giving me their arsey ''you will have to get rid of at least 2 dogs or we will never find you anywhere, it's just impossible, smirk, snigger''....''sod off then I don't want your stinking help if thats your attitude!'' I have a house viewing tomorrow, and I have lived in rented houses for the four years so its clearly not impossible is it! Grrr......sorry gone into my own little rant there! :o :eek:

I've heard the same, recently we've had letting agents round to assess the house since it was repossessed from the landlord (:rolleyes:) and expressed to them our intent to move next summer to somewhere a little more financially stable, lol. The bloke laughed at me and when I gave him a dirty look he told me I was kidding myself if I'd find somewhere that would take such a 'big' dog.

Funny, there's a lot of small studio properties around here that advertise as not being suitable for children, bet he doesn't advise people to get rid of a couple of their kids. :p

Some people's throwaway attitude to their animals really does - actually, it doesn't astonish me any more, it just makes me angry.
 
We only had one estate agent have that attitude, OH said we had a dog and she said we had a problem. Our response was it was her problem because she certainly wouldn't be getting our money.
The other two estate agents couldn't have been more helpful, to the point that one persuaded our now landlords to let us have the dog!
 
Ah dont listen BC, if I only had one I would be laughing, it really isn't that hard to get one in, most landlords (if you get a decent agent that will actually ask them) will allow one dog with an extra deposit and sometimes a carpet cleaning clause. No problems. You are right though, it is a stupid throw away attitude, it drives me mad, and I dont have any interest in giving them money when they make comments like that! Intrestingly, when enquiring about the same house you can get different answers from 2 seperate agents, the ones that CBA will just say 'no dogs' and a decent agent will say, it's possible and they will contact the landlord to ask.
 
Tbh I'm no longer even shocked at excuses like that, there are some idiots in the world. Loved your OHs comment.
Re rental properties, when we were renting my mums house out I told the landlord I didn't mind if people had pets, as long as I got to meet the pet, yet still they advertised it as no pets allowed. Someone who I showed round did ask if they could bring a dog, I said I didn't have a problem and they showed me a picture. I'm damn sure it was a pit bull :eek: Luckily they didn't take the house as. I wouldn't drop the rent by £100, cheeky b's
 
I think the letting agent was just a bit of a nob, lol! Given that I was in a complete panic thinking we might lose our house because of the situation, he didn't do a damn thing to reassure me and just sort of oozed around the house like a smarmy git. :o He kept pointing things out and going "oh, well, that's dog damage isn't it!" - um, no, the carpet was threadbare and faded when we moved in, but now we don't have a landlord it won't ever be replaced. :rolleyes:

Ah, well, not even thinking about it until I've finished another year of uni, looks like I'll have to save up an extra dog deposit. :p
 
Erghhhh some people are so dim.

Dont suppose you want my puppy too?? She destroys newspaper, forgets toilet training occasionly, eats my UNDERWEAR, rolls in maggot infested dead animals and barks when she is ignored??

I'm only joking.... I think :p

We had major problems when we were looking for somewhere to rent, don't you know that children and dogs are terrible creations??

One landlady even told me that I was not to get pregnant if we were to live in her house, because children will simply not be accepted! :o

We will be a landlords nightmare when we start looking again.... we have a dog and we are thinking about having a sprog!
 
Sorry Cayla - off topic! But..when we were looking for our current place, we gave up on letting agents (and Edinburgh has a LOT!) and went on Gumtree. Found a private let with a fab landlady - she showed us round and just when we were finished oooh-ing and ahhh-ing, she pipes up "so what kind of dog is it?" :eek:

OH had an empty poo-bag sticking out his pocket and I had slaver and dog hair down my back :o :o

We moved in that week! Landlady is a sweetie and has a golden lab who appears when she does a (rare) inspection - she says decent tenants are worth bending the rules for :) Good luck to the property finders!

I can't stand letting agents, mine are ok but some of them are such nasty, smarmy little tosspots it's untrue:mad:
 
It's incredible what excuses peple come up with! I got my dog as a 6 month old puppy from a rescue centre- she'd already been rehomed once, but was sent back because she was chewingthings up after being left for upwards of 6 hours a day! I don't think she chewed a thing after she came to us (except the odd toy), but she did have separation anxiety for quite a while.
 
Chloe was technically returned to her breeders. One day after they took her home. To a second floor flat. At 8 weeks old.

Returned her at 8am the next morning in tears, saying she kept weeing everywhere and they couldnt cope....what had they expected?

Definitely the best thing for the puppy in the long run....

Oh I know - I completely accept that. I just don't know how people doing your job end up not becoming serial murderers!! I take my hat off to you for even managing to be polite to start with - I know I would never have that much self control :)
