A pattern for brushing boots?

I’ve been looking for a pattern to make my own brushing boots at home but still haven’t been able to come across one. Does anyone have one? Or maybe point my in the right direction? I know I could buy some but I want them to match with a saddle pad I’m going to make.

I made a set once and they were actually quite good. I used an old set of 4 & 5 strap brushing boots as the pattern, bought some neoprene, vinyl leather fabric for the brushing pad, a piece of thin closed cell foam for the padding and lots of velcro!

I didn't bind them and they were tough and hard wearing enough. I used a "leather" machine needle in the machine (an oldish Bernina so nice and strong).

Do any of your friends have some brushing boots they can lend you to use as patterns to get you started?

No actually my stable doesn’t really use them that often and most of my friends don’t have the money to buy themselves some. But I was thinking I would buy an old pair from maybe eBay and use them. I think that would work. Do you know any good brands?
