A pelham with roundings?

I was just wondering as come across a lot of different opinions about pelhams, and I was hoping if someone could explain to me why some people say not to use them with roundings?

I don't know much about them except for that they can be used with roundings or double reins, but then I've heard a lot of people say using roundings takes away all point of them.

Can anyone explain to me? thanks

i out poppy in a pelham after being advised to on here, and it was a great move i actually could hold her

i used roundings because i have never used double reins and i thought it would be easier. seemed to work fine, but i have only used it with roundings so i dunno what the difference would be

becaue with roundings as soon as you put any preassure on the reins the curb comes into action whereas with double reins you can chooe to drop the curb rein so it isn't in use.
