Well where do I start on this week.....!
Been snowed in. University closed. Car buried. Meant to be at my fellas this weekend, but ofc that's not happened either

My foot's still painful and swollen, admittedly not as bad. How long does a torn ligament take to completely feck off? (I shan't be helping any more vets with horses!):mad:

Kelly very poorly. :( Took us 25 minutes to walk a 2 minute walk last weekend. We let her wander - farrier said she won't do anything that hurts her, so she wandered to the muck heap and didn't want to move after that. Breaks my heart to see her so sore :( - she's still eating fine is quite happy in herself, always whinnying to us and being grumpy at the other horses :p Vet thinks possibly navicular or cushings...? Cost her mum a lot of money so far!! Farrier said its just time...really hoping we find out what's wrong soon.

First Christmas without my Gran. So I'm not really looking forwards to that! Its going to be very different and very hard and I don't like thinking about how its going to go. :(:(:(:(

And my uni work is insane....I've got so much!! :(

Someone either slap me round the face and tell me to get on with it or give me a hug please??

Well, you slap me then too, as I've twisted my knee ligament-thingy through trudging through all this snow we have had....all my plans are down the drain!

Have a nice hot drink, and be glad you have the chance of an education, a roof over your head, food and clean water to drink, that tends to snap me out of it....

~Hugs!~

A sympathetic hug to all of you :) Not much more I can do than that.

IF it perks you up, I haven't set eyes on a living breathing horse for 3 weeks and I don't get to see my (ex-loan) pony for another week or so.

Aah well, means I can stay in bed instead of having to brave the snow!! AND the snow has given me a 5 day weekend!!

;) Don't you love silver linings?

Lol if we're playing that game....!!
I haven't seen Kelly since last Sunday! :(
Vets due back on Weds... :(

Oh no...foot twinges for the rest of my time? Not sure I can cope with this!!
And hot drink? I think something stronger might be a better cure

It wasn't a competition, more a little whinge, I miss my EllieMay. Although I have been rliably informed that she is playing in the snow and enjoying herself!

Now you have to point out a silver lining... I did!

Very true everyone. At least I can work on assignments from bed, but just don't feel up to anything but sleeping at the moment....!

Ahhh I wish Kelly could play out :(
How do we live with or without them!!

That sounded like a really bad year! here's hoping 2011 will b a good one! (big hug from me!)
(I have had a bad few weeks too) I was made redundant from the job I love and now have to get up at 5.30 every morning to muck out my horses before a twelve hour shift in a strange hospital in the freezing cold!
I also fell a couple of weeks ago and damaged my ribs-and we have run out of straw, Xmas is coming and I am skint once again!
Altogether now...'Always look on the bright side of life!..dadadadada

Me too, I am looking forwards to what it has in store for me!

And Kellysheroes, I feel your pain about lame ponies! Hopefully she will be on the mend soon. Remember there is nothing more satisfying than when you can first turn them out and let them play again :)

Kellysheros - slap in the face - it's lovely and sunny here in New Zealand :)

I'm missing my mum this year - she is very much alive but getting on; but she has always for as long as I can remember given me an advent calender - even here in NZ she sends me on - usually arrives on the day too so feeling very sad. She has recently turned 82 and losing her sight. I miss her and can't afford to get home to see her.

Hope your horse recovers soon - give her a sugar fee mint from her four legged friends in NZ.

Thank you everyone :)

Just an update....my laptop charger has died...so assignments are now out of the window until I can get to the library (when it reopens) to do them!!!!!!!!
