But of a pointless thread tbh but at work and no one else to talk to about it and need to let it out.

I sold my old man a while ago due to financial reasons and as I moved out of the area I asked a good friend to keep an ear to ground for me if she heard anything about him. She's kept true to her word. Thought it was for sale a while ago, thankfully wasn't.

Now I have just recieved a message saying he's ill :( replied but waiting now to find out what's up. Feeling like a bag of nerves as this is a horse I owe a lot to and I swore I'd get back one day.

Virtual hugs please and send some HHO vibes his way for me?

Putasocinit, theoritically yes I am, but realistically I shouldn't yet aa just started renting my own place. OH has always promised we would get him back as well so he's going to be upset with this as well :(

From what I have found out he and his field mate were moved to a new yard, he's always been bottom of the pecking order and they turned him out into a new herd and was kicked .... 8 months non ridden, but he's old, his new owner has a new born so :/

Just send some vibes his way people please, he's q daft sod as it is, so I'm praying he won't get worse or anything :( feel utterly down as I owe that horse so much.

Can you get your friend to drop the new owner a get well card and a net of carrots and some flowers for her - make sure you put your contact details in the card - and leave it at that.

It may be a nice way of saying - hi sorry to hear about his accident, i hope your are ok, and could i be allowed to visit him occassionally as i still really miss him.

Hope he gets better soon!

I know a horse who was kicked in the face and has a huge boney lump on his nose now as a result. Not sure whether he broke his nose or not but looking at the lump I would guess he probably did. The swelling around the lump has gone down quite a bit over the past few years but obviously it won't go completely as it is bone. He is an old boy too, but is still in light work - hope this gives you some hope! x
