A ponder - do you think big horses are more sensitive?

Having gone from a 15.2hh mare to a 16.3hh gelding I am finding that the boy is alot more sensitive. Do you think bigger horses are or is it his sex?

My 17-3hh lad is definitely more sensitive than my 14-2hh mare. But then, at times, there are rhinos that are more sensitive then Fany! Seriously I think it is their personality rather than their size. Sometimes breed can be a factor as well in my opinion.

i've always come across the opposite.

everythings further away from the brain so they tend to be a bit numb.

personal experience though, i like a big horse as much as the next person, just find them dim compared to ponies/small horses!

I think smaller more native type ponies can have bigger attitudes to other breeds sometimes. Its like little man syndrome lol!

My 17.3hh Shire horse was as hard as nails and my 17.3hh TB is very sensitive - squishy style

So, in my experience it is all down to age, breed and their personalities. I bought the TB because I wanted something more sensitive/responsive.
