A query on Hoof Boots

I have recently moved to a new area and a new yard where the hacking is great but it is very stoney and rocky and my horse only has front shoes on... she has never needed back shoes on before however I took her out for our first hack tonight to find she got quite footy on the ground.

I was just wondering instead of getting shoes on her back (which wouldn't be a problem) would hoof boots work just on the back hooves? I understand this sounds like an odd question but I'm just curious as to whether it would work with her having front shoes on and just using hoof boots for hacking on her back hooves.

Yep that's exactly what I was doing when I had a sound horse (long story!), although my reason was that pony is a bit of a nightmare to shoe and is worse behind. I've got some equine fusion ones and would really recommend them for being good at staying in place. Currently using them as turnout boots in front as pony has no shoes on after an MRI and can't get in touch with my farrier and far too sore to have nothing on. Fingers crossed they're still in one piece come morning!
