For the last few years I've been getting the ponies' meds online from 365vet who have been brilliant throughout. But I have run into a snag thanks to a new policy of theirs, and I would be interested to know if this is the same policy at other online med companies.

One of the ponies is not mine, he belongs to a neighbour who pays for his vet bills. I look after him with my other pony, and order in his meds when necessary. Because he belongs to my neighbour, it's my neighbour's address on the prescription and that can't be changed. This has never been an issue before but now they say the address on the prescription has to match the one on the order - is this the same everywhere now? Is it a new rule for all or just this company?

I'd like to know because I am thinking about not using them again if it's just 365vet who are doing this, I'll just go elsewhere. But if it's universal then I'll have to think of a different way round it all.

I don't know the answer sorry but I am in exactly the same position. I look after my neighbour's pony and they pay all the bills. She had the vet yesterday and he agreed a prescription for some bute. It will have to be in my neighbour's name and I did wonder if that was going to make it difficult for me to order.

I have sorted it out with 365vet, they really are very helpful.
It's an audit requirement to prevent fraudulently obtaining prescribed meds. Now I know that, and also how to do the orders next time, I am happy.
I will have to do two separate orders and change the purchaser's address for one of them. A bit of a faff but needs must!

You could try what's been suggested to me - change the account address (purchaser's address) to your neighbour's address, but add your address as the shipping address. If you order for your own animals too, you will have to change the account address back again and do a separate order.
