Dont know the best place for this post, but.....Can dogs, get Equine flu? A very good friend of mine that lives in london owns racing Greyhounds, and he's said that they have caught the equine flu virus?

He is adamant that they have got equine flu. the 'top ets in uk' have diagnosed the dogs with it. And they are suffering from internal bleeding????? Apparently they have caught it from feed bowls?

TBH, I think this would be plastered all over the news and especially the veterinary papers if we had species - species transfer, because that's everyone biggest fear.

I'll tell you if it's in the Vet Rec, but not so far that I've noticed

yes thats what my boss said its not possible for a horse to transfer to dog or vice a versa..... would be huge news if it did

Exactly - it's not that it's impossible, just that it hasn't happened yet and we'll all be very, very scared if it does....

yep

it's definitely possible.... just that I hadn't heard of it in this country before and we're all hoping it really, really doesn't happen - will check out with friends still in the profession to find out if there's word of it
