oh, help. I've been looking for a wide schooling saddle for my talented arab but can't spend 1000's on a custom or even high end saddle. I don't show, but would like him learning all he can, so I've resorted to ebay and have found an extra-wide Courbette Optima. The only trouble is, the seller says it is only stamped with the serial #343642, no tree size or seat size. She claims to have bought it from a tack shop and was told it was x-wide. I know this might mean a 33cn. or 34cn. but it should be stamped right after the seriel #. Seller does say there is a #1 stamped under the flap, also, but nothing else. Does anyone know anything about these saddles or know what it might mean if those numbers are absent? (could it be a scam?) I don't know much about english saddles so any comments would be helpful. (I have been learning a lot, though, researching this kind of stuff.) Thanks for looking. diane
