A question of weight any ideas please!

I am currently on a mission to find my partner a horse ,i have only ever had light framed horses mainly arab or partbred they suit me fine as i only weigh about eight stone. My partner is about 5,9" but has a very large frame and weighs around 17 stone. Not having much experience of cob type horses i would like some advice as to what breeds would be capable of carrying his weight. If you have any advice this would be greatly appreciated.

Clydesdale / shire crosses would be good or a cleveland bay??

Irish Draught or have a look at the mans hunters advertised that will give you some idea of what to look for

yep ID or a shire cross,i saw a lovely mare on horse mart a couple of days ago 15'2 shire cross plenty of bone,they dont have to have height to be a weight carrier

what lovely horses they look ideal for my partner , thankyou for that i dont seem to see that many advertised at the moment so it just goes to show we are not looking hard enough. Evertime i look i can only find the large horses but are not weight carriers. Thankyou
