OK so I've just moved into a 5 acre field that has had little care over the last few years (quite a lot of years) anyway I've had the field cut down as alot of the areas were about 3ft high and had two horses on it. So sectioned the two horses off mine and friends and had the field flail cut but far too much to get rid off (not good enough for hay). So what is the best way of getting rid of it. Can they bail it when it's been flail cut? If not what other way can it be picked up? Any suggestions welcome.

need rowing and then could be baled might be ok for cattle to munch/lay on if not need a buck rake to push in heaps.

i would have left it not topped it off as they would have picked at it through winter, but hey too late for that. you could get some one to bale it and burn?or if dry could be used as bedding for cows or sheep?

It isn't topped as such and it had been left for a couple of years or so and the horses that were in there didn't eat it and it was that long you couldn't find the droppings. But thank you for replying
