Do you find that the combo rugs rub your horses mane. I originally ordered the Buster 300X when they were at sale price but received a call yesterday to say that they were now out of stock and would I like a 450X or a 200X instead. I asked if they were the same except for the weight of the lining and was told yes so decided upon the 200X as I thought it would be far more useful. Upon opening the parcel this morning I find that the 200X is a combo rather than the detachable neck of the 300 & 450. I always use a rug with a detachable neck as I take the neck off at night (her neck is only partly clipped) to save the mane being rubbed away. I have rang them to say that I wasn't told and they said if I wanted to return it I could but I would have to pay for the postage !! So am feeling very disappointed & unsure what to do.

I've got both combo and detachable and found both very good. they both rubbed my girls mane a little but no where near what other brands have, if anything the combo rubs slightly less.

At night I just fold the neck back as i found it stays back nicely and doesn't fall off the neck to one side like other brands.

I love the fact that these rugs go right under their bellies so less mud monster for me to clean

They stay folded back a treat, even when pony lies down. My girlie has the neck down during the afternoon, I put it up at night. I find that PE rugs only rub a neglible amount of mane, and the warmth and fit negate a few lost hairs. I love how they go right under her belly and last night I found her curled up with her legs all but tucked in too
